Profile
I'm inspired by the elements earth, air, fire and water; their interactions with each other, the clashes and collaborations with the manmade world and works are about their role in my exploration of the unity between spirit and matter.
My choice of materials is often key to understanding the focus of works; how materials are gathered and prepared can itself change initial desired outcomes. For example, using hand tools when working with green wood enables me to either clash or collaborate with the material, to inflict my desire or to feel the true nature of the piece.
In my view everything is connected, and I make as an intuitive and spontaneous response to the world around me. I work with wood, paper and canvas and use gilding, jappaning, paint, pastel, pencil, pen. Sometimes whatever is the first thing I grab to make a mark and other times these marks are deeply considered before application.
If away from the workshop for a long stretch often my hands get itchy and my fingers wiggle without me realising; something is ready to pop out. I make both as an experience or process and I create to experience outcomes myself as much as for others.

Creative Coaching
An opportunity to give the same focus to your creativity that you give to everything else through exploration, experimentation and resolution. Marrying our creative process with sacred and divine practices and accountability, commitment, support and critical analysis.
• What is your inspiration and what might you need to bring concentration to your practice?
• How are you organising yourself and implementing your vision?
• What sustenance do you require in order to bring your creative vision to resolution?
Why sacred and divine practices?
My creative practice is underpinned by my spiritual one. They intertwine in my life so deeply that I couldn’t offer a creative holding without an exploration into those connections. This is the one element that I have felt has been absent from all of my past creative learning experiences and it feels important to be a part of what I offer into the field. There will be no expectation from you to have a ‘practice’ of your own (spiritual or creative) but I imagine your interest is a spark to developing one.
